Keeping your community up to date on Module 8: Children and Young People
This toolkit contains resources and guidance to help you effectively communicate the UK Covid-19 Inquiry updates relating to our Module 8 hearings, Children and Young People Voices research, Every Story Matters Record and general information to your audiences.
Module 8 examines the considerations that informed decision-making about children and young people across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland during the pandemic, and the impact of those decisions. It explores the diverse experiences of young individuals, including those disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. To keep your community informed, below is some information on Module 8 and some ready to use materials and copy.
How we heard from Children and Young people
Children and Young People Voices Project
For the first time in our investigations we have heard directly from 600 children and young people from across the UK, aged 5-18 at the time of the pandemic, through the landmark Children and Young People’s Voices project. The findings of this project will feed into the Module 8 investigation and fill existing evidence gaps, having listened to seldom-heard and highly vulnerable groups who are usually excluded from research including children in detention or with parents in detention, asylum seekers and children in care.
Every Story Matters
Through Every Story Matters, the largest public engagement exercise undertaken by a UK Inquiry, we heard children and young people’s experiences as told by three groups: those who are now over 18 but were under 18 during the pandemic; young people aged 18-25; and adults who were caring for, or working with children and young people during the pandemic.
Ready to use marketing materials
We want to keep as many people as possible well informed on our research and investigation. We’ve created some ready to use copy and social media imagery, to help you engage with your audience through your own channels.
